Welcome to Midlands Security & Risk Society

In the interim and to keep up to date on what is happening don't forget our next meeting on Wednesday 13th December.  The speaker is John Livermore from BT talking about the IP transformation that is rapidly approaching.  Come along and get up to speed so you can plan and advise accordingly.

2017, like the years beforehand, has seen various innovations in security technology, equipment and standards, all intended to tackle existing and emerging issues. With that in mind, the immediate priority for any security professional is to stay abreast of such changes and thus ensure they deploy the most up to date threat assessment and risk management/reduction techniques.

Concepts like 'Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are well established in many industry sectors, but for many the related problem is both how to find a suitable form of development, and the time to do it!

In our view, one of the easiest and most successful means to remain up to date/at the cutting edge is to join an active organisation like MSRS, which arranges informative and topical lunchtime lectures each month. It also provides a great way to meet/network with others having the same, or similar, interests - which in turn often brings a different perspective to an issue or maybe creates sales/solution oportunities and ideas.

We've been doing this successfully for over 50 yrs, so if you are employed or otherwise involved in the Insurance or Security industry and live or work in the Midlands area, then our society should be of great interest to you.

Meetings usually feature presentations from guest speakers whose products, services or knowledge of a topical issue are felt to be of interest to our members.

On other pages of this website you will find details of About Us and how to Contact Us - and we hope you will.
